Before we fly out to Canada this afternoon we have our first pres conference as athletes, something quite exciting and a great step towards professionalism. I will be racing the K2 500m and 200m with Ruby as well as the 4 x 200m K1 relay. (Raced the same way as swimming, the starting blocks hold each boat in place and drop down as the previous guy finishes)

Departing Nova Scotia, Canada!
For the past three weeks we have been training as a team down at Nagle dam. What a great camp, we were really well looked after. It was really awesome to have a high performance camp with all the necessary extras (on site gym, physios, sports psycologists, scientists and a great piece of water) all in the heart of Africa.
