Elgin

My wife and I have had 1000m K1 Ace, Nic Stubbs, staying with us for the past week. It's always great to have guests, gives you an excuse to drive crazy miles between training sessions and do stuff that you keen to do but never get around to doing it. We spent two days in the mountains around Elgin which is just short of an hour from where I live. The first day we went for an awesome cycle along the single tracks on Oakville estates. The second we were joined by Dusi legend Ant Stott and his Spanish girlfriend Julietta for a kloofing expedition down one of the rivers. It was a really amazing 8km gorge which took us around 5hrs to conquer.
